Georgia Legislators Look to Open Up Occupational Licenses to People With Criminal Records January 20, 2023 Lawmakers in Georgia will work on legislation that would allow workers with criminal records to obtain occupational licenses, such as barbers and truck drivers. The occupational board grants these licenses to Georgia residents who meet the required standards for experience and education. In addition, the applicants must pass background checks and certification exams.
